Despite considering Pavillion, North Bar, Salvo's, Nation of Shopkeepers, The Oracle, Adelphi Pub, Corn Exchange, Project Space and Smokestack, we decided that LS6 Gallery fulfills our ideal criteria for a venue space:
- student friendly (somewhere our target audience (our peers and the art and design community will feel comfortable)
- welcoming (a relaxed environment which enables the local community to fully engage with our artwork)
- local (our target audience generally resides in headingley and hyde park, thus maximising the turnout)
- functional (the space is suitable for an openings night, workshop evenings and has a bar downstairs which will be serving drinks)
- space (will comfortably exhibit the work of six artists, including floor space for installations and a guest book)
